Big additions to the Heat fam.

We are growing like weeds at Heat. As new clients and work start ramping up, filling our seats with a few smart, awesome, creatively surprising people is more important than ever. Take a look at some of the major hires we’ve made in the last month. Don’t they look promising?

Tommy Le Roux, Digital Creative Director

Before joining Heat, Tommy Le Roux served as a creative director at AKQA San Francisco. Prior to making the move to America, he lived and worked in South Africa at Ogilvy Cape Town. He also spent some time at Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT. Over the course of his 15-year career he’s worked with Levi’s, Audi, Volkswagen and Carling Black Label. His work has been recognized at Cannes, D&AD and The One Show. Pretty amazing, right?

Sally Hastings, Senior Art Director & Scot van den Driesen, Senior Writer

Sal & Scot joined us from the Oceania’s best and biggest commonwealth early this year. Their work has already been seen in our latest campaign for this year’s EA Sports UFC 2 with more pretty cool creative on the way. Beyond being all-around sunny Australians, their expertise has been used on brands like BMW and Puma. But what do they do outside of this place? Loads. Sal used to design board games for Hasbro and Scot is the proud papa to the world’s (according to us) most graceful Australian Shepard fittingly named Champ.

James Hagedorn, Content Studio Director

The Northern California MFA scholar of our dreams, James came to us after a decade long stint at Venables, Bell & Partners, where among other start up tasks, he helped build and guide Lumberyard, their integrated production studio. A convert from the world of video games, he got his first taste of ad making while at Hal Riney and Partners in their hey day. He is passionate about seeing ideas brought to life and has created content for a wide range of clients.

Jocelyn Lee, Director of Media

A native of Singapore, Jocelyn moved to Hawaii for college and ended up frolicking around the islands for a decade working on various media accounts including the Hawaii Visitors & Conventions Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines and the Japan Tourism Board. She soon abandoned her tan and moved to San Francisco where she worked with some of the advertising world’s heaviest hitters including FCB, Grey, and now Heat. Looking for some places to eat in the city? Jocelyn knows all of the hot spots to fill your belly. Follow her at @jocielee and she will make you Instagram jelly with her mouth watering pics.

Welcome new Heaters. We thank you for bringing us Champ and Grizzle, too.
