A baker’s dozen of months.

A baker’s dozen of months.

A little over a year ago we joined forces with Deloitte. While Heat is and always will be Heat, we’ve learned a lot over the past 12 months, in addition to juggling two inboxes. And as it turns out, we weren’t the only agency that merged with a global consultancy last year.

We can’t help but think that maybe we started something. The industry is changing and like we said in 2016, we needed to do something about it. When we got the ask to talk about the ‘what now?’ of it all, we wanted to share a bit of what the last year had been like, both good and bad. We discussed the future of the industry, keeping our shop creative-first, and how being part of a consultancy has really helped our business. You can read about it here.

But what else is going on at 1100 Sansome since the merger?

Well, we’re in the midst of making some awesome, global work for LG and are pitching clients that are looking for the same. Joining with Deloitte Digital has allowed us to take on projects that combine their digital capabilities with our creative good sense, leading to some incredible stuff that is so much grander than anything we could have done on our own. We’ve also hired some outstanding new talent to help us get there.

Oh, and we have an office in New York now. We’ve been wanting to make the jump cross-country for a while and this partnership has sped up that process. The place looks great, although a little dusty – construction has started and our New York team can’t wait to show it off.

We’re excited for the work that lies ahead, and now that we have a vast network of consultants and technically-minded friends, the sky truly is the limit.

Gotta go. We’re off to make some killer work.
