Last year we went to Cannes and were blown away by being awarded with eight Lions for our Madden NFL 15 campaign. We were an agency still on the rise, working independently and striving to make our mark in the advertising world. Though our first time at Cannes, we came back to San Francisco with the honor of being the most awarded agency under 250 employees.
This year we came with a game plan. We wanted to meet new talent, talk to brand representatives, and further our record of award-winning work. To make sure we could do this day in and day out, we set up a Heat + Deloitte Digital cabana on the Palais to welcome anyone who wanted to stop by and talk shop. Check out the list below to see some other activities we had going on throughout the week:
- Director of Content Strategy, Nick Reggars and Director of Strategy, Justin Cox headlined the Lion’s Social Academy and gave attendees tools on how to keep strategy ingrained in your social campaigns and think outside of the box when it comes to developing content.
- Adweek discussed gender balance and creative staffing with Director of Talent Katie Ramp and Creative Director Elaine Cox.
- We threw a killer ‘Heat and Chill’ hang for our friends from across the industry including our partners at Deloitte Digital and our award-winning clients.
- Won a Cannes Lion in Creative Effectiveness, continuing our streak of creative that makes us the Most Effective Independent Agency in North America. NBD.
This makes for an exciting end to a spectacular award season. Congratulations to the Madden Team, our clients at EA and the rest of the Heat team who worked so hard to make this happen.
