Phil Van Buren

Phil Van Buren is an Associate Creative Director and storyteller. With over a decade of experience in brand communication, Phil has used storytelling to help some of the most influential fortune 500 companies connect to their audiences in new ways.
Outside of marketing campaigns, Phil is particularly passionate about using creativity and his experience in advertising for social good. Most recently, he’s founded a technology-led program called Let’s Get Consensual with the singular goal of making consent common sense to everyone.
Phil’s work has been recognized by the Cannes Young Lions, One Show, Clio’s, Webby Awards, Creativity Online and the New York Times.
When not writing about himself in the third person, Phil can be found enjoying the outdoors whether it’s surfing at Ocean Beach or snowboarding in Tahoe. Before his career in advertising, Phil graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BS in Journalism.
